Specialized Therapy Services is a premier, full service clinic that provides comprehensive pediatric therapies with an integrative approach. We offer individual and group treatment programs designed for children from birth through adolescence to young adulthood.

Speech Language Pathology

At STS, we differentiate ourselves from other providers by applying a combination of approaches that are integrated to meet the unique needs of each child. Our speech pathologist team believe that there is not one “right method” for treatment. Rather, we connect the various cognitive processes (sensory, vestibular, attention, and language) to ensure positive growth and lasting change.

Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapy practitioners work with clients to promote health, development, and functional independence. Occupational therapists work on intervention plans that are created to address the unique sensory, vestibular, and disability needs of children, young adults, and their families. Services are implemented in a fun, creative, and integrative manner.

Physical Therapy

Our physical therapists use a variety of treatments to help clients build strength, improve movement, increase range of motion, decrease pain, and acquire skills needed to complete daily activities.

Developmental activities (crawling and walking), balance and coordination, adaptive play, aquatic therapy, strength training, flexibility exercises, injury avoidance, and safety instruction are just some of the services Specialized Therapy Services offers people with disabilities.

Behavioral Therapy

The STS behavior therapist specialists offer evaluations and provide evidenced based intervention services (Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the LOVAAS method, and Discrete Trial Training) to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Social Skills Groups

Social Skills Groups at STS are offered to encourage and reinforce pragmatic skills in children and adolescents with similar skill levels and interests. Our group leaders teach flexible thinking, perspective taking, problem solving, conversation skills, reading, and responding to body language/ facial cues in the clinic and community settings

Assistive Technology

At STS, our assistive technology specialists are trained to use a variety of tools (hardware, software, tablets, screen readers,  and other electronic devices and apps) to support reading, writing, expressive language, math, communication, and self care. We also provide after school robotics programs for students interested in STEM.

We provide a thorough assessment of each child’s needs to determine the most effective way to address impairments in communication, learning, and independent living.

Individual Counseling

AT STS, it is our passion to help children thrive. Individual therapy is now offered to children aged Preschool-18 years. Our mental health clinicians have extensive knowledge and experience in treating anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, depression, Oppositional Defiance, self/harming, and school-related issues (learning disabilities, IEPs, truancy, low motivation, and behavioral issues). We teach children effective coping strategies to manage life’s challenges and provide parents with the support needed to sustain change.
